How the process works
Choose your company name
Select a unique name that is not already registered at Companies House and does not infringe any trademarks. We will check availability as part of the process.
Provide director and shareholder details
Submit the required details for all directors and shareholders via our secure form. We collect only what Companies House requires.
Complete identity verification
All directors must complete an AML identity check as required by the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. This is a quick, digital process.
We file at Companies House
We prepare and submit your incorporation documents. Standard formations are typically approved the same business day.
Receive your certificate
Once approved, you receive your certificate of incorporation by email. Your company exists from the date on the certificate.
What you will need
- Your proposed company name (we will check availability)
- Director details: full name, date of birth, nationality, and residential address
- Shareholder details: full name, address, and share allocation
- SIC code — the industry classification code for your business activity
- A valid email address for Companies House correspondence
Frequently asked questions
How long does formation take?
Companies House typically approves standard electronic formations within a few hours on business days. We aim to submit all applications the same day we receive complete information and payment.
Can I change my company details after formation?
Yes. Director details, shareholder allocations, and your registered office address can all be changed after formation. Some changes require a Companies House filing. We can advise on the process.
Do I need an accountant?
Company formation itself does not require an accountant, but you will need to file annual accounts and a confirmation statement with Companies House, and register with HMRC for Corporation Tax. We recommend engaging an accountant after formation.
What is a SIC code?
A Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code describes the nature of your business. Companies House requires at least one SIC code during formation. You can find the full list of SIC codes on the Companies House website.
